Staff met with Gillian Lock, District Consultant, about using funds from our LES Innovation Grant to purchase furniture for learning spaces that allow students to feel calm, connected, and able to show their best as a learner.  Staff visited Brighouse Elementary to view classrooms that had used funds from their LES Innovation Grant to revise their learning spaces.  Gillian also met with students in a Primary and Intermediate Classroom to seek their feedback on the tools and materials in the learning spaces that would help them as learners.  Our next steps are for staff to meet with Gillian to hear the student feedback and make decisions on purchasing classroom furniture.
